Podcast with Southern University New Head Coach Chris Crenshaw

Chris Crenshaw was named head coach of the Southern University baseball program on December 3, 2020. He becomes the seventh head coach in Jaguar baseball history. Crenshaw enters his third season with the Southern University baseball program, eighth season at the Division I level and 10th overall on the collegiate level. He was instrumental in helping guide the Jaguars to the 2019 SWAC Western Division Championship and overall 2019 SWAC Tournament Championship–a season which earned the Jaguars a bid to the NCAA Division I Regional Tournament. Prior to Southern, Crenshaw spent five years at Jackson State University and two years at Southwest Tennessee Community College, both as an Assistant Coach.

During his two years at Southwest Tennessee Community College, Crenshaw served as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator during his tenure.

A Memphis native, Crenshaw’s collegiate career started at Southwest Tennessee Community College and then continued at Southern University under legendary head coach Roger Cador. A graduate of Bethel University, Coach Crenshaw earned a degree in Physical Education.

In this podcast series presentation, the focus was on the student athletes and his baseball program.
