Two HBCU Ballplayers Selected Louisville Slugger All Americans

DI/Baseball  Two baseball players representing HBCU schools were recently named by Collegiate Baseball News as 2016 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-Americans for Division I baseball. 1B Collin Carroll, Alcorn State and RHP Joseph Camacho, Alabama State both selected to their third team All-American list.

Carroll and Camacho, both members of the SWAC conference posted big numbers for their respective baseball programs last season.

Carroll offensively dominated SWAC pitching belting 12 HR, 50 RBIs with a .337 batting average, with over 200 at bats.

Camacho, went 12-0, with a 3.84 ERA, in 84.1 innings pitched striking out 76 batters.

The recognition of both ballplayers makes HBCU baseball a force to reckon with for the coming 2016 season.

Black College Nines will announce its HBCU 2016 Pre-Season All-American teams this coming January. The players selected where based on their respective large school and Small school divisions. Black College Nines Pre-Season All-Americans identifies the best and most valuable HBCU baseball players for their team’s 2016 season.
