Podcast: Florida A&M Head Baseball Coach Jamey Shouppe

As part of our coaches podcast series, Black College Nines met with Florida A&M University Head Coach Jamey Shouppe recently. This episode kicks off by discussing Shouppe leaving Division I baseball powerhouse Florida State, building FAMU into a program that is being recognized on the national level while heading into his 6th season in 2019. We discussed the difference in leading a mid-major baseball program fielding a competitive team, turning a losing program that came off back-to-back seasons with records of 7-45 and winning 26 games his first year as the head coach in 2014. Shouppe has won 127 games in five years including 77-43 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), three-first place finishes in the Southern Division standings, five straight postseason conference tournaments and an NCAA Regional in 2015.
