Wiley College has three former standouts playing professional baseball in the Pecos League.

Tyler Baumann – Bakersfield Train Robbers – C
Baumann recorded four hits and scored three runs last week. He hit an RBI single and scored a run on Friday to help Bakersfield to a 7-5 victory over Wasco. Baumann singled in Saturday’s 5-3 victory over the California City Whiptails. He finished his week with a multi-hit game and scored two runs in a 6-5 extra-inning loss to Wasco. Baumann is hitting .247 with 15 runs and 14 RBIs.

Darian Fleming – Bakersfield Train Robbers – OF
Fleming earned his first save of the season and pitched in three games. On Wednesday he pitched a scoreless inning and struck out two hitters in a 3-2 loss to High Desert. On Friday, he doubled and scored. He pitched the final inning and struck out a batter to secure the victory. On Sunday, he pitched two-thirds of an inning and didn’t allow a run. Fleming dropped his earned run average to 4.41 and moves his strikeout tally to 23. Bakersfield qualified for the 2019 Pecos League playoffs.

Dorian Lewis – White Sands Pupfish – 3B/P
Lewis did not play last week due to injury.
