With six RBIs in four games, Luis Santiago (JR/Salinas, Puerto, Rico) took home Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for the week of January 28-February 3.

In the opening game, Santiago went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and three RBI in an 11-2 victory. He hit an RBI double in the first inning, an RBI single in the third and an RBI double in the fourth.

Santiago went 1-for-3 in the second game. He hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning to spark a three-run frame which helped the Wildcats tie the game. His only hit came in the fifth on an infield single. Santiago would advance to score the go-ahead run in a 9-5 victory.

In third game of the series on Saturday, Santiago went 2-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly in the third inning and a RBI single in the seventh inning. He went 1-for-3 in the series finale. For the week, Santiago went 7-for-13. His 10 RBIs lead the Red River Athletic Conference.
