The Bulldogs went into the bottom of the sixth in Friday’s nightcap with a 4-3 lead at Texas Wesleyan but the bottom literally fell out at that point with the Rams picking up eight runs on just three hits and 1 error.

Bulldog pitchers gave up three walks, two wild pitches, one hit batter to go with a passed ball as the Rams rallied for eight runs, including five unearned in their final at bat of the afternoon.

Jarvis used five pitchers in the contest with reliever Tyler Arnsberg picking up the loss.

Junior centerfielder Jonas Garcia went 2 for 4 with an rbi and scored two runs. Austen Pulcher was 2 for 4 with a run scored and an rbi. Thomas Spencer also had two hits in four appearances at the plate and drove in a run.

The Bulldogs (2-4, RRAC 0-0) will wrap up the three-game series with the Rams Saturday at noon in Fort Worth in a scheduled nine inning contest.
