ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.

Alex Bentley (Miles) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Jacob Schuster (Miles) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Alex Bentley, Miles

Bentley had a big weekend as Miles took 3-of-4 from Lane. In his last home series of his career, Bentley slashed .636/.688/.818, going 7-for-11 with two doubles, three RBI, and six runs scored. He also was perfect in four stolen base attempts while playing perfect outfield defense. On the season, he’s slashing .413/.531/.430 with 27 runs scored, seven RBI and 12-of-12 in stolen bases.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Jacob Schuster, Miles
Pitcher  |  6’4  |  Senior  |  Douglassville, Ga.

Schuster threw the 10th complete game of his career in an 18-2 win over Lane. He allowed just four hits and two runs with one walk and 11 strikeouts, which tied his season high. On the year, Schuster is 6-2 with 51 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings pitched.
