BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama State’s Yamil Pagan and Joseph Camacho have been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the week for their exceptional performance in competition, February 22-28.

Player of the Week

SWACPagan hit .563 last week (9-for-16), including two doubles and a triple with two RBI, netting .611 OBP and .875 SLG percentages. He had two four-hit games to set and tie a career-high to now have 20 career multi-hit games. Pagan was 2-for-2 in stolen bases and has reached base in six straight games this season.

Pitcher of the Week

RHP Joseph Camacho

SWACCamacho took to the mound on Friday against Winthrop, throwing six and two-thirds innings in a non-decision effort. He allowed one run on five hits, walked two and collected a season-high seven strikeouts.
