ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.

Bryan Encarnacion (Paine) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Dermus Strozier (Paine) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bryan Encarnacion, Paine
Outfield  |  6’0 |  Freshman  |  Savannah, Ga.

In four games last week Encarnacion batted .500 going 7-for-14 with four doubles, one triple and three RBI. In his best game this past week Encarnacion was 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs scored and one RBI in an 8-1 victory versus western division foe Miles College.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Dermus Strozier, Paine
Right Handed Pitcher | 6’0  |  Sophomore |  Jonesboro, Ga.

In his only start last week, Strozier pitched a complete-game four hitter in an 8-1 victory over western division foe, Miles College. Strozier pitched six scoreless innings to start the game before giving up his only run in the seventh inning while striking out a game-high five Golden Bears.
