Homecoming weekend brought together Panther Nation alums from all over the globe, and Prairie View A&M University baseball joined in the fun with an alumni game over the weekend.

More than 30 former baseball players participated in an alumni game against current Panther players at Tankersley Field.

Among the returning players in attendance was Panther Hall of Famer and Major League Baseball player Odie Davis.

“It meant the world to me have this many former players come back to participate in this event,” said second-year PVAMU head coach Auntwan Riggins. “To have former Prairie View baseball and former professional player Odie Davis talk to the team before the game was a great experience for them and me. It was great to hear his message and help them understand what it takes to play this game at a high level, and the importance of leaving Prairie View A&M with a degree.”
