PRAIRIE VIEW – Prairie View A&M baseball continues their early-season slate with a mid-week tilt against No. 21 Texas A&M on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. First pitch is set for approximately 6:32 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The game can be viewed on SEC Network+, which provides digital sporting events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices such as Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

There were a few bright spots from opening weekend, with newcomer Andrew Paige putting up a .429 batting average with a pair of doubles and four RBI in three games. Sophomore Alex Martinez flashed his power, with three of his four hits going for extra-bases (two doubles, one home run).

Junior right-hander Derrick Curry is likely to get the start for the Panthers. Last season Curry posted a 1-4 record, striking out 29 in 11 appearances (seven starts).

Scouting the Competition:
– The Aggies (3-0) are coming off a resounding three-game sweep of Miami-Ohio, during which they outscored the RedHawks by a combined 32-5. Texas A&M hit seven home runs during the series.

– Leading the way offensively is Zach DeLoach, who hit 7-for-9 with a pair of home runs and five RBI versus the RedHawks.

– Left-hander Jonathan Childress is likely to get the start for Texas A&M. He holds a career ERA of 2.13 in limited action for the Aggies.
