Pitching And Explosive Hitting Propels Kentucky State Baseball Past Tuskegee

Frankfort, Ky.— Kentucky State University baseball swept a doubleheader of visiting Tuskegee University on Friday afternoon.

The Thorobreds (9-21, 3-2) picked up their first doubleheader sweep of the season and move to a game over .500 against conference opponents. The third and final game of the series will be at 12:00 pm ET on Saturday.

Game 1: KSU 3 LOC 0

Senior pitcher Josh Dunn (4-3) through his sixth complete game of the season as his ERA continues to be at the top of the Thorobreds’ pitching staff at under 3.90. Dunn only needed 73 pitches to complete the dismantlement of the visiting Golden Tigers.

Game 2: KSU 23 LOC 22

Sophomore left fielder Cameron Starks stepped up in the bottom of the seventh to claim hero honors for KSU. With runners on second and third with no outs, Starks’ lined a pitch to right field, scoring Alexander for the 23-22 walk-off victory.
