NCCU’s Ryan Miller Named MEAC Baseball Rookie of The Week Again

NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina Central University freshman Ryan Miller (Blandon, Pa.) has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week after tossing eight strikeouts against Lafayette, the conference office announced on Monday, March 4.

Miller fired eight strikeouts over six innings with just one earned run in a no decision against Lafayette in the series finale on Sunday, March 3.  Through three starts, Miller is second in the conference with a 1.10 ERA, and has a league-high 28 strikeouts over 16.1 innings.

This is the third league honor for Miller and the Eagles this season.  NCCU will head to Presbyterian on Tuesday, March 5 before hosting NC State on Wednesday, March 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Durham Athletic Park.  Admission for that game will be $5.  The Eagles will enter Southern Division MEAC play on Friday, March 8 against North Carolina A&T at 6:00 p.m. at the Durham Athletic Park as well, and for that series admission will be free.
