Hawks hoping for better result than last weekend’s sweep at A&T

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – The Hawks baseball team will travel down to Greensboro once again this weekend as they face the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) Spartans for a three game series. Friday’s games begins at 4 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. game Saturday and a 1 p.m. game Sunday.

Maryland Eastern Shore will be looking for their first win of the season after being swept by Mercer and North Carolina A&T during the first two weekends. UNCG is 2-6 on the season but have played a challenging schedule, facing opponents such as South Carolina, Michigan State and North Carolina State.

The teams have met twice previously with the Spartans claiming victory in both games. In 2016, UNCG defeated The Shore by a 15-6 score.

UNCG will provide live stats (http://www.statbroadcast.com/events/statmonitr.php?gid=uncg) and a YouTube stream (https://www.youtube.com/user/uncgsports/videos?flow=grid&view=2) for this weekend’s games.

The Shore will provide social media updates throughout the weekend. Follow along with the Hawks on Facebook (@ESHawks), Twitter (@ESHawksBase), and Instagram (@ESHawks).
