Former Baseball Standout Melvin Robinson to be Inducted Into Lincoln (PA) University Hall of Fame


The Lincoln University Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and Athletics Director Harry Stinson III are proud to announce the addition of four individuals and two championship teams that have been selected to be inducted into the Lincoln Lions Athletic Hall of Fame 2019-20 class. Included in the induction ceremony will be former outstanding Lincoln baseball player Melvin Robinson.

“Robinson was a four-year starter for the Lions from 2008-2011, finishing his career as the most prolific hitter in program history. Robinson finished his career as the Lions’ all-time leader in ten different offensive categories, including batting average (.373); home runs (16); runs batted in (85) and hits (128). He is listed among Lincoln’s all-time top five performers in 21 different offensive categories. As a junior in 2010, Robinson hit .414 and set the school record for hits in a season with 36. Melvin hit .400 the following year and broke his own school record with 38 hits, earning All-CIAA and all-ECAC honors. He holds seven single season records in addition to his ten career marks.”

According to the athletic department, the induction ceremony will take place on the campus of Lincoln University on May 1, 2020 at the Wellness Center Dining Hall.
