The Florida Memorial University Lions (7-6, 3-3 TSC) split the double-header against Florida National University.

The second game of the double-header saw a much different Lions baseball team. These Lions came out swinging and the results showed. The Lions produced 11 runs on 8 hits while the defense shut down the Conquistadors by not committing any errors and only giving up one run.

The Lions pushed 3 runners across home plate in the bottom of the 1st inning and never looked back, the final score was 11-1. The Lions “returned the favor” as they say as the ten run rule was applied after 6 innings of play. Leading the way for the Lions was pitcher, Christian Suarez, 5 innings pitched, allowed 6 hits, gave up 1 run, walked 4 batters and struck out 5. Leading the way on offense were, Jouseph Renovales with 2 hits, 3 RBI and Jacques Perry had 2 hits, 2 RBI.

The Lions will be back at home Friday, Feb. 22nd for a double-header against South Carolina Beauford at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
