Eight Lincoln (MO) Baseball Players Earn Academic Honors

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Eight members of the Lincoln baseball team were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Tuesday (May 24). Dylan Koehler, Dillon Walker, Cameron Massman, Caleb Thomas, Jackson Weaver, Trevor Schnieders, Daniel Castillo and Nick Lovell all earned recognition for their academic performance.

Koehler, a junior wellness major from Jackson, Mo., finished the fall semester with a perfect cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Walker also has a very high GPA, as the senior business administration major carried a 3.889 average through this past fall. Walker hails from Enid, Okla.

Massman, a sophomore social science major from Eugene, Mo., owns a 3.58 grade point average. Thomas, another senior, is next with a 3.19 average. Thomas is a physical education major from Cuba, Mo. Weaver, meanwhile, is from Jefferson City, Mo. and is a sophomore marketing major with a 3.185 cumulative average.

Schnieders and Castillo are both business administration majors from Jefferson City. Schnieders, a sophomore, carries a 3.077 average while Castillo, a junior, owns a 3.081 average. Lovell, meanwhile, is another senior and is a criminal justice major. Lovell is from Russellville, Mo. and has a cumulative GPA of 3.037.

To make the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must have at least two semesters of attendance, not including summer sessions, at a league institution and own a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher through the Fall 2015 semester.
