BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Coppin State head baseball coach Sherman Reed was the keynote speaker at the I-95 Stadium Series Metro Select ID Showcase last weekend at MCU Park, the home of the New York Mets-affiliated Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York-Penn League.

Coach Reed was chosen to speak to over 230 families from 39 States across the United States on the subject of college baseball, the importance of academics and how to get recruited.  Over 90 coaches from across all NCAA Divisions, NAIA and Junior College were also in attendance.

Reed just completed his ninth season at the helm of the Coppin State baseball program after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant.  The 2018 MEAC Coach of the Year, Reed is the winningest coach in school-history and has seen 16 players receive All-Conference honors.
