Alcorn State Hires David Duncan As Baseball Assistant Coach

LORMAN, Miss. – David Duncan joined the Alcorn State University baseball program as assistant coach Monday, announced by head coach Bretton Richardson.

Duncan will work primarily with the pitching staff as the pitching coach.

“I’m honored to be here and very thankful for the opportunity to coach at Alcorn,” Duncan said.

As a student-athlete, Duncan threw for Florida A&M University from 2009-14. He went on to play professional Indy ball with the Florence Freedom in 2015 and San Rafael Pacifics in 2016.

During the offseason, Duncan was an assistant baseball coach at Bradford High School.

Duncan earned his Bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2013, and his Master’s degree in Sport Management in 2014, both from Florida A&M.
