Albany State Earns Walk-Off Win Versus Point

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State baseball team began a three game series with Point University on Friday at Golden Rams’ Field at West Campus.

With the game tied at 2-2 entering the bottom of the 9th, Ben Greenstein singled to right field to open the frame. Avery Roth came in to run and advanced to second on a single by Quantico Dodson-Williams.

Kelvin Wimbish laid a bunt down that moved Roth to third setting up Max McCray who singled through the right side to win the game for ASU.

Kevin Bryant II got the Golden Rams on the board with a solo home run to centerfield in the 4th inning.

McCray finished 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Chasen Roulhac (1-0) picked up the win in relief. Roulhac pitched 1.1 innings and surrendered no runs and struck out two batters.

Starter Roman Oliu recorded a no decision in 7.2 innings of work and gave up no earned runs while striking out five.

Albany State (4-7) concludes their series with Point University with a doubleheader on Saturday, February 23rd. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
