In the nightcap, Alabama State used a five-run third inning to pull ahead of Alcorn State 5-1 after the Braves scored a run in the first inning. Alabama State started the scoring with a bases-loaded walk to Cameron Hearn that forced Angel Jimenez in to tie the game at 1-all. They would take the lead on a three-run triple by Noel Cheneau, before an RBI groundout by Santiago Garcia rounded out the scoring in the inning.

Alcorn State answered with a pair of runs in the fifth inning to trim the lead to 5-3, and they were able to tie it in the sixth with a pair of unearned runs.
