MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University baseball team, coming off a competitive weekend, will hit the road once again for their midweek matchups against the Ohio University Bobcats at the Lake Point Sports Complex in Emerson, Ga., and against UAB at Young Memorial Field in Birmingham, Ala.

The Hornets (2-6) face off against the Bobcats (5-3) on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. (EST) and against UAB (5-2) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Picking up their second win of the season last weekend against Iowa, the Hornets will look to get back on pace during both midweek matchups to lead them into the weekend as Alabama State returns home to open Southwester Athletic Conference (SWAC) play against rival Alabama A&M.

Ohio is coming into the week after splitting a four game set against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The Bobcats won on Sunday in walk-off fashion in 13 innings, while UAB faces off against Troy on Tuesday after winning two out of three over the weekend against Valparaiso.

First pitch on Tuesday is set for 1:30 p.m. (EST) at the Lake Point Sports Complex, and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Young Memorial Field.

Alabama State returns home to the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex on Friday as the Hornets open up a three-game SWAC series against Alabama A&M. First pitch on Friday is set for 6 p.m.
