Lane College Baseball Donates Food For Community Service Event

Jackson, TN – On December 7, 2016 the Lane College baseball team participated in a community service event with RIFA (Reaching out, Lifting Up) food bank. The team collected and donated 49 pounds of food to help stock the food bank pantry. Head Baseball Coach Stanley Stubbs, his coaching staff, and his players take great pride in giving back to the community through giving and living by Christian principles and values.

  1. I am so disgusted at the way the HBCU programs are being handled by BLACK coaches. How is it possible that programs require black ball players to tryout ,make the team, attend in the fall, provide proof of elgibilty to the clearinghouse, put in work at practices building a team chemistry, and then they bring in new non-black players who walk right into a startiing position in the second semester ON SCHOLARSHIPS (after holding back on scholarship money from black ball players at an HBCU). If HBCU’s don’t look out and respect the black baseball players …who will ??? Please help me understand this????
