2017 SIAC Baseball Tournament Report – Tuskegee gets revenge Beats Benedict 4-2

Note… Contributing reporter Harold Michael Harvey is attending the SIAC baseball tournament and will be sending scores and reports as they unfold.

Last weekend Tuskegee dropped three games to Benedict in their home park. The losses were not pretty. Benedict scored 46 runs and only allowed six GoldenTigers to cross home plate.

The weekend looses knocked Tuskegee out of the top ten ranking in Black College Baseball Poll.

Today the two teams met in the first round of the SIAC tournament. It was a pitcher’s duel. Trey Nelson picked up the win going 9 inning and giving up one run on a wild pitch.

Senior first baseman Ricky Green drove in the first Three runs on a sacrifice fly in the third and a single in the 10th inning which broke a 1-1 tie.

Tuskegee advances in the winner’s bracket. They will play again on Friday at 3pm.
